SKI PERFORMANCE HOLIDAY WEEK
Who are the courses for?
Our ski performance holiday week is for all levels of teenage & adult parallel skiers who have enthusiasm for learning the fundamentals of skiing.
Learn in a fun and friendly environment with our elite coaches who work full time in the Alps each Winter. These weeks are such fun and are very sociable.
Course:
Come and enjoy our ski holiday week where our coaches look after you each day and provide expert technical ski tuition to help you be the best you can be on your skis!
On our PDCA courses we focus on how you balance on your skis to be able to use your equipment and body to get the best results possible. To achieve this we use the SkiA Sweetspot trainers and other balance equipment to check out your balance and biomechanics. Any weaknesses in your Biomechanics will be identified and an individual training programme available.
All our coaches use video analysis during the course to help you with your understanding and awareness of your movements.
Allowing for conditions we will cover skills for developing your piste performance (shorts turns, long turns), variable terrain, bumps, off piste & freeride.
Dates:
19th to the 26th of November 2022 (19th & 26th are travel days). Please note that travel days are on a Saturday.
Typical day:
Meet at 9.00am for introduction and chat, snow sessions till lunch break around 12.00pm, back on the slope for 12.45pm till round up at 3.30pm (times may vary depending on location, weather & resort).
Equipment:
We always recommend you have your own equipment for snow skiing, well fitting and appropriate boots are essential. Piste carving skis and all-terrain skis are suitable and these can be hired if required. All our coaches wear helmets, we strongly recommend wearing a helmet for active skiing.
Course Length: Our holiday weeks are 6-days in duration but you will have 1 day off during the week to ski on your own or have a day off relaxing in the area.
Accommodation: H/B in Hotel Edelweiss 3* (includes new Spa and Wellness facilities). We have used this fabulous family run hotel now for 5 years and the service, food and facilities are wonderful. The hotel is located as you enter Cervinia within walking distance of the town centre and a short walk or free minibus ride provided by the hotel to the bottom lift station.
Course only fee: €600 per person (this is the tuition only without the H/B accommodation).
Deposit for course only €TBC payable to hold booking now. Balance due by 1st September 2021.
Course Fee with HB Accommodation (19th-26th November): From €1235
Deposit of €300 payable to hold the booking now. Balance Due by 1st September 2022.
Lift Pass: Payable in resort (not included in course price). Approx price €300 for 1 week International Pass which includes Zermatt which can be accessed from Cervinia. Depending on snow conditions and availably of terrain we will decide whether an International or Cervinia only pass is the best option.
Insurance:
All our guests must ensure and are responsible for their own winter sports activity insurance which covers all skiing including off piste with a qualified instructor/mountain guide.
Flights & Airport Transfer:
Local airports are Turin or Geneva
Airport transfer can be arranged privately or through the hotel but hiring a car in a group is an option. We can put you in touch with other clients booked on the course to team up with.
NB: Insurance, flights and transfers must be arranged and paid for by individuals.
