THE VENUE:
Les Contamines, France is one of the hidden gems of the French Alps. It is part of the Evasion Mont Blanc area and as a ski area is quite extensive with a number of high speed chairs and drag lifts making it an ideal resort for instructor training courses. The full name of the resort is Les Contamines-Montjoie/Hauteluce. You can view the piste map by clicking here. The Hauteluce part of the domain is in the Savoie while les Contamines itself is in Haute Savoie. There is also plenty of skiing above 1800m making it very snow sure.
