BASS Chamonix Instructor Training

During the winter season BASS Chamonix run regular weekly training sessions for on half days on Wednesdays. Depending on numbers there are either one or two groups with a maximum of 6 per group. Sessions can be tailored to individual needs covering anything from Central Theme demonstrations, performance skiing in different strands to preparation for teaching modules. BASI Refreshers   

If you hold a BASI ski instructor qualification it is possible to refresh and update that qualification with us. This can be done in several ways; either by attending two of our BASS Chamonix Instructor Training sessions (as described above) or by arranging it with us if we are delivering staff training for your ski centre/school. Or you can hire us privately through the ski school via our private lesson service. In addition to whatever fees are applicable for the options described above we will also collect a fee of £15 which we then pay to BASI for your refresher to cover administration.  BASI requirements for keeping your qualifications current and valid are available on the BASI web site.

IASI Refreshers   

Holders of IASI ski instructor qualifications who need to do refreshers can do so in a similar way to what is described above for BASI qualifications. Any administration fees for this will be paid directly by the member to IASI. This can be done via paypal on the IASI web site. Please note that if you are continuing through the system and taking courses each season then there is no requirement to do an additional refresher. For those who teach at Kilternan, the Ski Club of Ireland refresher weekend is acceptable as a refresher.

SSS Refreshers 

Holders of the Snowsport Scotland Alpine Ski Leader and ASSI (no longer delivered) qualifications can arrange private refreshers  with us. The Snowsport Scotland office require notification at least one week prior to the refresher taking place. A fee of £15 is collected per person and sent to the office together with membership details. Staff Training    

We are hired to run staff training for a number of ski schools/centres around the UK the list of which includes; Firpark Ski Centre in Tillicoultry, Polmont Ski Centre near Falkirk, Bearsden and Bellahouston Ski Centre’s in Glasgow and the Ski Club of Ireland at Kilternan, Co. Dublin.
