With Parallel Dreams you can attend official IASI
Instructor Courses in the Chamonix Valley. Parallel
Dreams is licensed to run the IASI Level 1 and Level 2
Alpine Ski Instructor qualifications. BASS Chamonix’s
ongoing seasonaire & instructor training sessions act as
a feeder system to these courses.
The Irish Association of Snowsports Instructors is the
official training and grading body for Ireland and their
qualifications are highly recognised
internationally by ISIA & IVSI.
For the 2010/2011 season we are running an IASI Level 1
Ski Instructor over two 3-day weekends. The first
weekend, held in January 2011, will train students in
all aspects of the award covering Core Skier
Development, Basic Principles and the planning and
delivery of ski lessons. All of this information is
covered in the book “Parallel Dreams Alpine Skiing”
which is included in the course fee. A further 3-day
training/assessment weekend will then be run in April
2011. Students will be able to use the time between the
first and second weekends to do further training and to
do the required 20 hours of ski school experience.
